PROVIDING Ii'OR DEPOSIT FOR USE OF ANY OF THE CITY PARKS r10R ORGANIZED GATHERISGS
WHErtEAS; requests are per1od1cally made by organizations
for use of' a city park for organizational purposes, and
WHEREAS, damage ie somet1mes done to the shrxi'le, flowers,
trees or grass, or cleanup work j.s necess1 tated because of such
1":ather1ngs;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto DOES
RESOLVE as follows:
That any organization requesting use or a city park for
the p1;rpoae of holdlng a meetlng shalJ. be required to place in
advance a deposit of Ten Dollars ($10.00) with the Tax Collector
to be held as lmnlrance against damage or cleanup necessitated
by their actions.
This depoalt shall be returned after the meeting if no
c1ty action 1s necessary to return the grounds to the condlt1on
theY were in prior to the meeting.
In case damage should be in excess of the deposit, the
organization shall be held responsible for the additional cost.
'l'he above and forego:!.ng resoJ.1.:itlon was duly and regularly
introduced and pas~ad by the Council or the City of Palo Alto at
a regular meeting held on Monday, the 14th day of September, 1950,
by the foJ.lowlng vote:
