STRKET LIGHTING RECONSTRUCTION
DISTRICT ONE
RESOLVED, by the City Council Of the City Of Palo Alto, Cal1forn1a, that
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City or Palo Alto did on
the 12th day or J'une, 1950, adopt 1 ts resolution of intention to
order work, wherein it did declare 1te intention to order the
work and improvement to be done and an asaesement and diagram to
be eonr1rmed in accordance with a total and itemized estimate
or the costs and expensee thereof, all as more particularly de-scribed and set forth in ea1d Resolution;
NOW, THIREFORE, the City Clerk or said City is hereby di-rected to publish a notice in the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper
or general c1rculat1on, printed, published and circulated 1n said
City ahd hereby designated by said Council for that purpose, a
notice inviting sealed proposal~ or bide for doing the work and
making the improvements described in said Resolution or Intention
and reterr1ng to the spec1f1cat1ona on file in the office of the City Clerk.
All propoaala or bids shall be accompanied by a check pay-
able to the City of Palo Alto, certified by a reeponeible bank,
for an amount which shall not be less than ten per cent (10%)
of the aggregate or the proposal or by a bond for said amount
and so payable, signed by the bidder and a corporate surety or
two 1ndiv1dual sureties, who shall Just1fy before an offit~er
competent to admin1Bter oaths, in douole the same amount, and over and above all statutory exemptions.
Said sealed proposals shall be delivered to the Clerk of
said City Council, to-wit; the City Clerk, on or before 4:00
o'clock P.M. of Wednesday, the 6th day of September, 1950,
said time being not lees than ten days from th~ time or the
first publication or said notice. BidA will be opened, examined
and declared on aaid day and hour by the City Manager of said
City, 1n the Council Chambers 1n the City Hall tn said City,
who shall report to the City Council his findings, which
findings shall be considered by ea1d Council at its meeting
to be held at said place, on Monday, the 11th day of September, 1950, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M.

I hereby certify the .foregoing to be a true copy of resolu-
tlon adopted ~Y the City Council 9f the City or Palo Alto,
California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 14th day of
August, 1950, by the following vote of the members thereof:
AYES, and in favor thereof; Councilmen:
Blois, Bolander, Bowden, Bower, Cashel, Cathcart, .Freedman,
Gaspar, Mitchell, ·Montrouil, Mortet1, Wickett.
NOES, Councilmen: None.
