OVERRULING PROTESTS ON RESOLUTION OF INTENTION
PROJECT NO. 50-1
STREET LIGHTING RECONSTRUCTION
DISTRICT ONE
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Palo Alto,
Cal1fo:t"li1a, that
WHEREAS, saj.d City Council did on the 12th day of June, 1950,
adopt 1te resolution of Inte11t.1on No. 1990 to order a'Cqu1e1t1ons
and improvements ~ ierein described; and did therein fix the time
and place when and where aa1d Counc11 would hear any and all persons 1ntereeted therein;
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of said city duly gave notice of
the time and place of said hearing, in the time, form and manner
provided by law;
WHEREAS, this ls the time and place fixed 1n said Resolu-
tion when and where said Council \vlll hear said protests and
objections;

WHEREAS, written and oral protests and ob,ject1one
against the prcpo3ed acquisft1on and improvements have been
filed with the City Clerk of said City at or before or made at
the time set for said hearing by persona interested or who are
owners of property which 1a subject to assess~nt in aa1d pro-
ceedings; and
WHEREAS, said City Council haa duly heard and considered
each and all of said protesta and objections and each and all
peraons desiring to be heard in connection with said matter was
and were given an opportunity to and did present their said
protesta and objections, and said matters were fully presented,
heard and considered by said Council; and
WHEREAS, it appears, and said Council so finds, that said
protests so filed were not filed by the OWT\ers of more than
one-half of the area of the property to be assessed for said
acquisition and improvements.
NOW3 THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED and ORDERED that said
protests and objections be, and they and each and all of them are
hereby, overruled and denied.

resolution adopted by the City Council or the C1ty of Palo Alto,
Calii"ornia, at a regular meeting thereof held on the l~th d.ay or
August, 1950, by the following vote or the members thereof:
AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen:
Blois, Bolander, Bowden, Bower, Cashel, Cathcart, Freedman,
Gaspar, Mitchell, Montrouil, Morten, Wickett.
NOES, Councilmen: None.
