CALLING POR VARIOUS BIDS
The Council of the City of Palo Alto 0013 RESOLVE as follows:
That the C1ty Y.anager of aa1d City be and he is hereby
directed to call ro~ bids for the following:
Screenings shall consist or broken stone, crushed
gravel, or both, and sr.all be hard, tough, durable,
and sound. They aleo shall be clean and free from
clay, earth, rock duet or other deleterious matter.
Quant1ty ror screenings -1,000 tons or rock,
100 tons of medium and 600 tone of f1ne;
Plant Mix surfacing shall comply w1 th Sect:ton 28,
"crfiap£er ~, Article B, three-fourths maximum, or
the 1949 State Highway specif1ca.t1or1a;
Liquid Asphalt shall comply with the prov1a1ons of Section 64 of the 1949 Standard Spee1f1ea.tlons
of the State Division or Highway5, State of California;
Tree Stock shall comply with spec1r1cat1ona eatabllsfied by the Division of Parks, City or
Palo .Alto; California;
Vehicle specif1cat1ons tnall comply with low priced,
popUlar brand, natic~ally made vehicles, except for
specific spP.c1ficat1ons as established for
specialized equipment;
Billing; Machine must be capable of' carrying not
less tnan ~ en~ries in 10 reg1st~re and must be
designed for 11t111ty bills now 1n use, and s1in1lar
to Burroughs Style #301700;
the
::mid bids to be rece1 ved by eaid City Manager at or before 4 :00
o'clock P.M.~ on Monday, August 14, 1950, and to be publicly
opened, examined and declared at said time, by the City Manager.
in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of said City of Palo Alto,
County of Santa Clara, State of California.
Said notice shall be given by publication once in the
Palo Alto Times at least f:l.ve (5) days before said date.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regu.larly
introduced and passed by the Council of the City of Palo Alto at
a regular meet1ng held on Monday, the 24th day of July, 1950, by
the following vote:
