DETERMINING TO MA.KE IMPROVEMENT WITHOUT COMPLIANCE
WITH INVESTIGATION ACT
PROJECT NO. 50-1
STREET LIGHTING RECONSTRUCTION
DISTRICT ONE
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City or Palo Alto, California, that
WHEREAS, on March 13, 1950, this Council adopted its
resolution of Preliminary Determination No. 1962 to make certain
improvements more particularly described therein, and did fix
therein this date as the time and place when and where any and
all persons interested ma~ appear and ehow cause, if. any they
have, why the City Council should not f1nd and determine that
ti.e public convenience and necess:l ty require the improvements
described and referred to in said Resolution, without compliance
w1th the Special Assessment Invest1gat1on, L1m1tat1on and Major-
ity Protest Act of 1931;

WHEREAS, notice of th., adoption of said preliminary resolu-
tion and of said time and place of hearing was given by the
City Clerk by publ1cat1.on and posting for the time and in the
manner provided in said Resolution of Preliminary Determination
and Article I of the Palo Alto Improvement P~ocedure Code, as appear~ from affidavits on file with the City Clerk;
WP.EREAS / no wr~. tten objections to the undertaking of
sa1d proceedings without firet complying with the prov1s1one
of said Investigation Act have been filed with the City Clerk at
or before th~ time fixed for this hearing by persons interested,
owning or having an interest in real property within the proposed ~ssessment district, bearing their signature, a description of
the1r property, and a statement of the nature or their interest therein; and
WHEREAS, all persons interested have been given an oppor-
tunity to be i:ind were fully heard. and said Council has duly
cons:ldered any and all ob,)ect1ons and protests made, and the
said proposed improvements, and the public convenience and necens1ty for making same.
NOW, THEREFORE,, IT IS FOUND, .DETERMINED AND ORDERED, as follows:
1. That the public convenience and necessity require the
improvements described in sa1d Resc•lution of Prelj.m1nary Determ-ination.
2. That any and all objections and protests made pursuant
to said Resolution of Preliminary Determ1natton be, and the same
are hereby, overruled and denied.
3. That the improvements described ln said Resolution be
made under and pursuant to the provisions of the Palo Alto Improve-
ment Procedure Code more particularly referred to in said resolu-
tion, and that the Special Assessment Inveatigat1on, Limitation
and Majority Protest Act of 1931 shall not apply to said proceedings.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution was
duly and regularly adopted by th~ City Council of the City of
Palo Alto, California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the
12th day of June, 1950, by the following vote or the members thereof:
