RF.SOLVED, by the City Counci 1 of the City of Palo Al to,
Californ1a, that
WHERE.A..~, the Board of Public Works of the City of Palo
Alto did, in open session, on the 5th day of June, 1950, publlcly
c1pen, examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for the
work· to be done and improvements to be made, as described and
::1pecif1ed in Resolution of Intenti·on No. 1712 of aaid Council
E1dopted July 12, 1948, and in Resolution No. 1982 Ordering
Mod1f1cat1on of Proceedings:-adopted May 8, 1950, to which
x•esolutions reference ia hereby made for a description oi' said
work and improvements and/or the materials supplies or equipment
t;o be furnished therefor.
WHEREAS, the Board of P'ilbl1c Works haa reported 1ts
.t:'1nd1nga to the City Council, which findings have been duly con-
E11dered by the Ba1d Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HE.F.EBY ORDERED, as follows:

1. The C1ty Councll of the C1ty or Palo Alto, ca11ror-
n1a, hereby rejects all of said proposals or bids except that
hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing .
said work and mak1ng said improvements to the lowest responsible J1
bidder, to-wit:
L. C. SMITH C0'1PANY
at the prices named in 1ts bid;
2. That the Mayor and Cle~k of aa1d City of Palo Alto
be, and they are hereby, authorized to make and enter into a
written contract with said successful bidder, and to receive and
approve all bonds in connection therewith.
I bere'by certify the foregoing to be a true copy of
resolution adopted by the City Council or the City of Palo Alto,
California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 12th day of
June, 1950, by the following vote of the members thereof:·
AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilman:
Bentrott, Blois, bolander, Bowden, Bower, Cashel, C~thcart,
Freedman, Gaspar, Hill, Mitchell, Morlrou11, Morten, Wickett,
NOES, Councilmen: None.
