CALLING FOR SEALED PROPOSALS
BARTLEY TRACT ALLEY

RESOLVF.D, by the City Council of the Ci~y of Palo Alto,
Callfox•nia, that

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Palo Alto did on the
12th day of July, 1948, adopt its Resolution No. 1712 of Intention
to order work to be done and improvements to be made in said City,
all as more particularly descr1b'd and set forth in said Resolu-
tion of Intention; and
WHEREAS on May 8, 1950, the said City Council adopted Reso-
lutlon No. 19B2 Ordering Modification of Proceedings, reference
to which Re;.iolut1on No. 1982 is hereby made for a particL1lar
de~cription of the mod1f1cat1ons made;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Clerk of said City is hereby directed
to publish 1n the Palo Al to Time~, a newspaper of gener<ll circula-
tton, printed, published and circulated in 3aid City and hereby
desi~nated by said Council for that purpose, a Notice Inviting
Sealed P:ropoeal~i for doing the worl·: and making the improvements
de9cribed 1n said Resolution of Intention, and in said Resolution
Ordering Modification of Proceedings, and referring to the plans
and specifications on file 1n the office of the City Clerk.
All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a checl\ payable
to the City of Palo Alto certified by a responsible bank, for an
amount which shall not be less than ten per cent (10%) of the ag-
gregate of the proposal, or by a bond for said amount und so p~y
eble, signed by th~ bidder and two sur1t1es, who shall Justify be-
fore any officer competent to administer oaths, in double the sa1d
~mount, and over and above all statutory exemptions.
Sold sealed proposals shall be delivered to the Clerk of said
City Council, to-wit; the City Clerk, on or before 3:00 p.m. of
Monday, the 5th day of ~rune, 1950, said time being not less
than ten days from the time of the first publication of said
notice. Bids wlll be opened, examined and declared on said
dv.y and hour by the Board of Publ:l.c Works of said City, ln the
Cor.ncll Chambers ir1 the C1 ty Hall of said City, who shall report
to the City Council its findings, which findings shall be consid-
ered by naid Council at its meeting to be held at said place on
Monda~/, June 12, J950, at 7:30 o 1 clock P.M.

I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy of resolu-
tion adopted by the City Council of the City of Palo Alto,
California., at a regular meeting thereof held on the 8th day o:
May, 1950, by the· following vote of the members thereof:
