I .~ N N 0 • 1982 ORDERING MODIFICATION OF PROCEEDINOS BARTLEY TRACT ALLEY PROJECT NO. 48-12 RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, Californ1a, WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 1968 of this Council ordering same~ notice has been duly g:ven of the intention of this Councll to modify the proceedings l.lnder Resolution ot Intention No. 1712 of this Council, in the time and form provided by law, and this is the time nnd place set for hearing thereof;, and WHEREAS, no persons interested appeared or filed written protects in said proceedings or a part ther~of, and all persons interested desiring to be heard were given nn opportunity to be heard, and all matters pertaining to said modlf1cat1ons were fully heard and considered by this Council ~~~~~~~~~~~ NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that the public convenience and necessity require ~nd th!s Council hereby orders th~ following modifications of the proceedings under Resolution of Intention No. 1712, to-wit: 1. Modify the proceedings by consolidating with the acquis1- t1ons already ordered herein the following work a~d improvements, to-wit: (a) The improving of unnamed alleys proposed to be :.icqu1red in Blocks 5 and 7, betw~en Fernando Avenue and the center line of Block 7, Bartley Tract, all as more part1c~larly described in maps and diagrams on file in these proceedings, by grading, removal of existing trees and structures, construction of crushed rock base pave- ment with asphaltic concrete wearing surface between property linen, and constructing Portland cement concrete approach aprons at street 1n~ersect1ons and across s1dewa1Xs. (b) The improving of an existing unnamed alley in Blocks 7, 11 and 12 of Bartley Tract as shown on Bartley Tract Map No. 3, recorded in the office of the Recorder of Santa Clara County on February 26, 1915, in Book C at Page 66, extending .from the center line of Block 7 of said Bartley Tract to the southerly city l!m1ts of the City of Palo Alto, by grading, removal of exlsting trees and structures, constructing crushed rock base pavement wJth asphaltic concrete wearing surface between property lines, and constructing Portland cement concrete approach aprons at street 1ntersectlons and acros3 sidewalks. 2. Modify the estimate of costs for said acquisitions and 1mprovement3 to not to exceed $10,000. 3. Modify the assessment by increasing it by the cost of the improvement. work and increaslng the individual assessments by their prorata share of the benefits. 4.
