OF AVARD OF' CONTRACT
CALIFORNIA AVEN1JE DISTRICT ACQUISITIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT No. 48-9
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Palo Alto,
California, that
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works or the City of Palo
Al to did .• in open session, on· the 6th day of March, 1950, publicly
open, examine and declare all sealed proposals or bide for the
work to be done and improvements to be made, as described and
specified in Resolution of Intention No. 1721 or said Council
adopted J'uly 26, 1948, in .Resoli.itio·n No. 1924 Ordering Change and
Modification of Proceedings, adopted December 12, 1949, and 1n
Resolutlon No. 1933 of Intention to Modify Proceedings, adopted
J::muary 9, 1950, to which resolutions reference ls hereby made for
a description of said work an.d improvements and/or the materials,
s:.ippl1eo or equipment to be furnished therefor.
WHEREAS, The Board or Public Worlrn has reported 1 ts find-
ings to the City Council, which .findings have been duly considered
by the said Co~nc11;
NOW, THEREl"ORE, IT IS HEREBY OlIDERED, as f'ollows:
1. The Clty Council of the City of Palo Alto, Cal1forn1o.,
hereby rejects nll of said proposals or bide except that herein-
after mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing said
work and making said improvements to l;he lowest respons.1.ble

at the prices named in its bid;
2. That 1;he ?1ayor and Clerk of said Cl ty or Palo Al to
be, and they are hereby> authorized. to make and enter into a
written contract with said successful bidder, and to receive and
approve all bonds in connection therewith.
I hereby certlfy the foregoing to be a true copy of
resolution adopted by the City Cc.uncil of the City of Palo Alto,
California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 13th day of
March, 1950, by the following vote or the members thereof;
AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen:
Bentrott, Blois, Bolander, Bowden, Bower, Cashel, Cathcart,
Freedman .• Gaspar, Linder, Montreuil, Morten.
NOES, Councilmen: None.
ABSENT, Councilmen: Hill, Mitchell, Wickett.
