' . n E S 0 L U T I 0 N N 0 • 1947 WHEREAS The Sta~~6 of Ca11fornia under Chapter 47, Statutes of 1944 (4th Exti:-a Session), has appropriated funds for allotment by the Director of Finance to provide financial aaeistance to Local Agencies defined therein as counties, cities or cities and counties for the purpose of defraying not to exceed one-half the coat of preparing engineering field surveys, engineering or architectural designs, and work1~ and detailed drawings and specifications (hereinafter called Plans") req.uired fo:r postwar public works projects described as "apeic1:fic prvjects11 in said Act; and WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto, hereinafter designated as "Local Agency11 , desires to apply to the Director of Finance and/or the Sta.te Allocation Board, as the case may be, for an allotment or the State's share or the estimated cost of preparing the completed plans hereinafter mentioned and there ha.a been prepared and presented to this legislative body for cons1derat1on an application for such purpose; and WHEREAS, Local Agency has provided, or will rr.ake ava~.lable upon approval of the arorement1oned application, sufficient funds to prepare the completed plans herein mentioned; now, therefor.e be it RESOLVED, that Loca! Agency submit the aforesaid applica- tion to the Director or Finance and/or the State Allocation Board as the case may be, requesting allotment of One Thousand Five Hundred One Dollars and Seventy-two Cents ($1,501.72} be1ng no~ more than one-ha.1.f the cost of preparing said completed plans, or for such amount aa may be approved by the Director of .F1nanc.e and/or the State Al.location Board (said allotment to 'be used for 'the purpose of defraying the coat of prepar1n.g said completed plans required), for a specific project to be undertaken by Local Agency and described as Fire Station No. 3; be it further RESOLVED, that the estimated cost or preparing such plans is Three Thousand Seven Hundred and Ten Dollars ($3,710.00 ) and that Local Agency has made provision for paying one-half or more of the cost of preparing such plans; be it tllrthe~, _ RESOLVED; that for the purposes of this application, Walter s. Gaspar, Mayor of the City of Palo Alto, be and he is hereby designated as the authorized agent of Local Agency and is hereby authorized and directed to sign the above-mentioned application on behalf of the Local Agency and submit the same to the Director of Finance and/or the State Allocation Board together with a certified statement of the estimated cost of preparing such plans and such other information as may be required; and said authorized agent 1s !'Urther authorized and directed as the represe'!ntat1ve of Local Agency to conduct all negotiations and conclude all arangements, including submission to the Director of Fincmce of a.ppl1cat1ona ror reimbursement, which may be necessary to secure reimbursement for the State's share of the expenditures made in preparing said completed plans.
