Q L U T ! 0 N N O • .!2n RESOI.UT!ON RELATIVE TO RETIREMEm' OF MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES OP THE POLICE AND FIRE SJ!:RVICE OP THE CITY OF PALO ALTO The Council of the City of Palo Alto DO RESOLVE as follows: All person3 employed in the Police and Fire Services shall be governed by the following regu13.t:tons for retirement purposes: 1. All aforementioned employees attaining the age of f1fty- f1ve years and with twenty year8 1 aerv1ce which is classified as police or fire service with the Ca11forn1n State Employees' Retirement System shall retire from the Municipal Service. 2. Any said employee attaining the age or fJ.fty-five years, wlth less than twenty years• service which is classified as police or ~ire service with the Ca11forn1a State Employees' Hetirement System shall retire upon completion or twenty years' service with said system or at age sixty-five, whichever is the earlier. 3. Any appointing authority of the City of Palo Alto may declare that these regulations be waived in cases of adm1n1strat1ve necessity; however, each continued employment in excess of the age and service requirements herein set forth shall be for one years' duration only, and sub,)ect to an examinat:ton qualifying such employee for continued service. In each said case einnual specific action will be required. The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and p~s~ed by the Council of the City of Palo A1 to at a regulnr meetine on Monday, the 9th d~y of January, 1950, by the £ollowing vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Bolander, Bowden, Cashel, Cathcart, .ft'reedman, Gaspar, Hill, Linder, Mitchell~ MontI'cuil, Morten, Wickett.
