OF INTENTION TO MODIFY PROCEEDINGS
CALIFORNIA AVENUE DISTRICT ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT NO. 1~8-9
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, Cal~r
orn1a, that it is the intention of said Council to further modi-
fy the proceedings under 1ts Resolution of Intention No. 1721
adopted July 26, 1948, as follows:
1. That the public convenience and necessity require and
it is the intention of this Council to change and modify the
procee~1ngs by consolidating wi.th the acquisitions already ordered
herein the following work and improv~ments 1n the alleys
proposed to be acquired in these proc~ed1ngs in and for eaid
City, to-wit:
The improving of unnamed pedestrian lanes pro-
posed to be acqu..tred within the blocks bounded by
Cambridge Avenue, Californi!i Avenue, Se.cond Street
and El Ca.mine .rre·al, and CA.11forn1a Avenue, Sherman
Avenue, Third Street and El Camino Real, all as
more particularly described in maps and diagrams on
file in these proceedings, by grading, removal of
existing !3truct~res, and constructing crushed rock
baae pavement with Portland cement concrete wearing
surface between property linea.
2. Notice is hereby given that Monday, the 13th day of
.~'ebruary, 1950, at the hour or 7:30 0 1 clock P.M. in the
Council Chamber, City Hall, Palo Alto> California, are hereby
fixed as the time and place when and where any and all
persons having any objections to said proposed changes and
mod:t:!'icat:tons may be heard.
3. A copy of this resolution snall be published twice in
the Palo Alto Times, the first of such publications shall be at
least two weeks before date set for hearing.

I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy of
resolution adopted by the City Council of the City of Palo Alto,
Cal1forn1a, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 9th day
of January, 1950 > by the following vote of the memb(~rs thereof:
AYES~ and in favor thereof, Councilmen:
Bolander, Bowden, Cashel, Cathcart, Freedman, Gaspar,
Hill, Linder, Mitchell, Montreuil Morten, Wickett.
NOES, Councilmen: None.
ABSENT, Councilmen: Bentrott, Blois, Bower.
