RESOLUTI ON No.
ORDERING MODIFICATION 0P PROCEEDINGS
HIGH STREET EXTENSION ET AL.
PROJECT NO. 48-14
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto,
California, that
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 1768 of thi. Council
ordering same, notice has been duly given of the intention of this
Council to modify the proceedings under Resolution of Intention No.
1738 of this Council, in the time and form provided by law, and
this is the time and place set for hearing thereof; and
WHEREAS, no persons interested appeared or filet( written
protests in Bald proceeding or a part thereof, and all persons in-
terested desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard,
and all matters pertaining to said changes and modifications were
fully heard and considered by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that the following changes
and modifications of the proceedings under Resolution of Intention
No. 1738 be made and had, as more particularly described as follows:
1. That the public convenience and necessity require, and
this Council hereby orders, that High Street be extended at a 50
foot width from the present southeasterly terminus thereof to
Colorado Avenue, by acquiring an easement over lots 9 and ;10, to-
gether with the 10 foot southeast prolongation of lots 9 and 10 to
the present line of Colorado Avenue, and portions of lots 16, 17
and 18, Block 1, Map No. 1 of Stanford City, and of the intervening
20.86 foot canal therefor, for street purposes.
2. The changes and modifications, as above ordered, be
made by the City Engineer upon the face of the plans on file with
the Clerk, or by filing amended copies thereof, or amendments
thereto.
3. That reference be, and it is hereby, made to!the
amended plans on file in the office of the City Clerk of maid City,
to which reference is hereby made for further particulars..
4. That the public convenience and necessity require the
acquisitions of easements in the proceedings under said Resolution
of Intention No. 1738, as hereby ordered modified pursuant: hereto.

I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy of
resolution adopted by the City Council of the City of Palo Alto,
California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 8th day of
November, 1948, by the following vote:
AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen:
Blois, Bowden, Cashel, Freedman, Gaspar, Hi1J, Linder,
Merner, Montrouil, Morten, Thoits, Wickett. •
NOES, Councilmen: None.
ABSENT, Councilmen: Bentrott, Bolander, Mitchell.
