OVERRULING PROTESTS ON RESOLUTION OF INTENTION
CALIFORNIA AVENUE, ET AL. ACQUISITION
PROJECT NO. 48-9A
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the '1ty of Palo 7:1to,
California, that
WHEREAS, said City Council did on the 26th day of July.
1948, adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 1721 ordering acqui-
sition of easements and the acquisition or relocation of improve-
ments thereon; and did therein fix the time and place when and
where said Council would hear any and all persons interested therein;
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of said City duly gave notice of
the time and place of said hearing, in the time, form and manner
provided by law;
WHE.'4;EAS, this is the time and place fixed in said Resolu-
tion when and where asid Council will hear said protests and ob-
jections;
WHEREAS, written and oral protests and objections against
acquisitions have been filed with the City Clerk of said City at or
before or made at the time set for said hearing by persons interested
or who are owners of property which is subject to assessment in Raid
proceedings; and
WHEREAS, said City Council has duly heard and considered
each and all of said protests and objections and each and all per-
sons desiring to be heard in connection with said matter was and
were given an opportunity to and did present their said protests
and.objectione, and said matters were fully presented, heard and
considered by said Council; and
WHEREAS, it appears, and said Council so finds, that
said protests so filed were not filed by the owners of more than
one half of the area of the property to be assessed for said
acquisitions.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AND ORDERED that said pro-
tests and objections be, end they and each and all of them are hereby,
overruled and denied.

I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy of
resolution adopted by the City Council of the City of Palo Alto,
California, at an adjourned regu.ar meeting thereof held on the 27th
day of September, 1948, by the followiGg vote of the members thereof:
AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen: Bentrott, Blois, Bowden,
Cashel, Freedman, Gaspar, Merner, Mitchell, Morten, Thoits,
Wickett.
NOES, Councilmen: None.
ABSENT: Councilmen: Bolander.
NOT VOTING, Councilmen: Hill, Linder.
