RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO FORMATION OF
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the District Board of L..s Encinas Sanitary
District of Santa Clara County did on the 17th day of August,
1948, adopt u Resolution of Intention No. 30 under the provi-
sions of the Municipal Improvement Act or 1913 and the Improve-
ment Bond Act of 1915, as amended, which aaid Resolution proposes
the construction of certain public zmprovements therein described,
a portion of which and a portion of the district to be aseesaed
therefor will be included within the City of Palo Alto, and said
rlstrict Board of said Las Encinas Sanitary District having .e-
queated the consent of the City of Palo Alto thereto,
Now Therefore, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Council of
the City of Palo Alto that the public interest and convenience
require the making of the public improvements described in said
Resolution of Intention above referred to in the manner therein
set forth, and that all the lands included within the assessment
dietrict described in said Resolution of Intention will be bene-
fited by said proposed public improvements, and this Council hereby
gives its consent to the making of said public improvements and
to the formation of the assessment district described in said
Resolution of Intention No. 30 and to the assessment of the lands
included within said easesam>nt district for the coats and ex-
penses of the performance of said work and the costs, incidental
thereto and to the issuance of bonds under the provisions of the
Improvement Bond Act of 1915 to secure the payment of the sa:ae,
and to the assumption of the jurisdiction by the District Board
of Las Encinas Sanitary District of Santa Clara County for, all pur-
poses in connection with the formation of said assessment district,
the making of said improvements, the levying of assessments on
lande included within said district and the issuance of bonds to
secure the payment thereof, all in accordance with the request
and application for this consent heretofore filed with the City
of Pall Alto, special reference co which is hereby made for
further particulars.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit a certified
copy of this Resolution to the District Board of Las Encinas
Sanitary District of Santa Clara County.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
adopted at a meeting of the City Council of the City of Palo Alto
held on the 13th day of S.ptember, 1948, by the following vote:
AYES: Bentrott, Blois, Bolander, Bowden, Cashel, Gaspar, Linder,
Merner, Montrouil, Morten, Thoita, Wickett.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Freedman, Mitchell.
