RESOLUTION ORDERING TUE CLOSING OF A PORTION
OF FIRST STREET A~1D SECOND STRF..RT AT THEIR
INl'ER3ECTION WITH FERNANDO AVE?WE IN THE CITY
OF PALO AIJJ:O.
VB.ERE.AS, certain street improvements have been made at the
intersection of Fir.st and Second Streets with Fernando Avenue in
the City or Palo Alto, as a result of vh1ch improvements First
and Second Streete intersect Fernando Avenue at right angles; and
'WEEREAS, in order to correct the maps and the titles to
property lnvolved 1n the changing of said 1nteraeot' """: .'-'~ ia
necaasary for the City of Palo Alto to abandon a portion ot Firat
Stre~t and a portion of Second Street at their intersection with
Fernando Avenue,. and further to dedicate certain parcels or prop-
erty on First Street and Second Street at their 1nteraect1on v1th Fernando Avem .. ej
NOW / 1rHEREFORE, the Council. of the C1 ty or Palo Al to DO
RESOLVE as follovs:
1. That that portion Of Lot l, Block 6 ot the Bartley
Tract, in the City of Palo Alto, more particularly described as
follows, to wit:
BEGIImlNQ st a point upon the northveaterly line
of F9rnando Avenue distant thereon, North 33° 331
East 25.00 feet from the common corner for Lots 1
and 2 in Block 6 or the Bartley Tract, Map No. 2
recorded on August 8, 1911, in Bouk •N" of Maps at
Page 55, Records of Santa Clara County, California;
thence, North 33° 33t East, along said northwesterly
line of Fernando A venue , 22. 5 3 .feet; tl~ence, north-westerly, along a curve curving to the left, the
radius or which is 10.00 feet, the arc distance or
which is 24.99 feet and the long chord or vh1ch bears
