RESOLUTION AUTHORIZ.ING MAYOR AND CIT"! CaRK TO
EXECUTE APPLICATION AND AGRBEME.trl' FOR ALLOCATION
OF STATE AID '1'0 LOCAL AGENCIES FOR CIVILIAN
DEFENSE PURPOSES BY THE STATE DIRECTOR OF FINAK~~.
VHEREAS 1 the City or Palo Alto has made available
funds 1n exceaa or $452.45 for civilian defense purposes 1n ea.1d city 1 and
WHEREAS~ ea1d city is dea1roua of securing an
allotment of eta.te funds through the State Director or Finance
1n the sum or $452.45 1 which funds are to b~ used for c1v111~ d4fense purposes in said city;
NOW, THEREFORE, the council or the City of Palo Alto DO RESOLVE a3 follows:
That the Mayor and City Cl~rk be and they are hereby
authorized to e:xeoute on behalf o.f the City or Palo Alto, e.ppli-
ca·tion #609 and Agreement for Allocation or State .Aid to Local
Agencies for Civilian Defense Purposes by the State Director ot. Finance.
· BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that tho moneys· received from
the State Treasurer, or any fund of any agency which 1a a part
of the e~ecutive department of the state government will not be
used as matching funds under the provisions of said appl1~at1on,
Which application is made pursuant tO the provi~ione Of Chapter 805, Statutes of 1943.
The above and foregoing resolution ~as duly and regu-
larly introduced and passed by the Council of the City of Palo A~ to, a.t a. regular meeting held on Mond.a·r, tb.e 12th da7 of'
June, 1944, by the following vote:
AYES: Bentrott, Blois, Bowden, Ca.shel, Co~nish, Dobbel,
Linder, Merner, Morten, Richards, Southwood, Tlloits Thomas
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Mitchell, Wood.
