RESOLU~ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PAi.O .A.I/10 APPROVING
MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT FOR ACCUMULATION OF
CENT GAS TAX ALLOCATED FOR STREETS OF MAJOR IMPOR'l'ANCE
WHEREAS, a memorandum or agreement has been pres~nted
to be entered. into with the State or California for accu-
mulation or the 1/4 cent gas taJC for the fiscal year 1945
allocated tor straete or !'IW.jor importance other than State
highways l.n the City ot Palo Alto; and
WHER.EAS 1 the City Council has heard read. sa1d agree-
ment in Ml and is f.e..m.iliar with the contents thereof;

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Palo Alto that~ under the provisions of Section 200 of the
Streets and H1ghw~ys Code, the 1/4 cent gas tay allocated for
streets of major importance other than State hignvays be
accumulated ror futuro e~pen~iture, and that said. agreement
be and the same 1e hereby approved, and the Mayor and the
City Clerk are directed to sign the 5ame on behalf or said
C1tyJ said agreement to be binding upon the City upon its
execution by th~ authorized oft1c1ele or the State.
ADOPTF~ thia 12th day of J~me, 1944.
I hereby certify that th~ rorego1ng resolution was
duly and regularly passed by the Ci·ty Council or the City
of Palo Alto at a regular meeting thereof held June 12, 1944.
