RELATING TO THE JURISDICTION OF ALMA STREET DURING
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, Santa Clara County contemplates improving
a portion or Alma Street vithin the limits or the City or
Palo Alto trom the Matadero Creek Bridge to Oregon Avenue, w1 th County funds; aru1
WHIREAS, the Board or Su~erviaora of said County has
requested that jurisdiction over that portion or Alma Street
between the Matadero Creek Bridge and Oregon Avenue be releaeed
to the County or Santa Clara dur.ing the construction or certain ~oadway improvements on A.ma Street:
NOW, THEREFORE, the Co·~eil of the City of Palo Alto DO RESOLVE ae follows:
That the Board of Public Works be and it is hereby a~thori~ed to enter into an agreement with tho Board or Super-
vi."'ora of the County or Sallta Clara, whereby the jurisdiction ove~ that portion or Alma Street between the Matadero Creek
Bridg"" and Oregon Avenue be turned over and released to tho
County ot Santa CJ.a.ra for the period or time necessary to com~
plete the construction or certain roadway improvements 1n that
portion of .Al.ioo S&ree-c; said release ·~o be given vi th the
understanding that upon C!)mplet.1on of said improvements, the
jurisdiction over Baid portion of Alma Street -w111·be returned to ~he City of Palo Alto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon completion Of said
improvements, the City of Palo Alto will take over that portion
of Alma Str~et ao released to the County or Santa Clara, and
maintain the same as a regular o1ty street thereafter.
The above and foregoing resolution wae duly and regu-
larly introduced and passed by the City Council of the City of
Palo Alto at an adjourned regular meeting of the Council of the
City of Palo Alto held on the 29th day of Sept~mber, 1941, by the following vote:
