the 29th da7 ot September, 1941, adopt ita Resolution Ordering
Work and. Confirming Aaaeaaaent, lfo. 1:544, wherein 1t dld order

estimate of the eoata and expenses thereof, all ae more particular-
ly described and set rorth 1n Resolution or Intention No. 13~1
adopted b7 aaid 01.t7 Council on Septolllbor 8, 1941.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Clerk or said C1tt ia hereby
directed to publish twice 1ll the Palo Alto Times, a neva paper
or general circulation, printed, published &D4 circulated 1n
the City ot Palo Alto, an4 hereby designated b7 aaid Council
tor that purpose, a notice inviting sealed propoaala or bids
tor doing the vork and making the improvements described 1n
said resolution or intention, and referring to the apocitica.
tiona on file 1n the ottice or s&1d City Clerk.
All proposals or bide shall be accompanied by a check
payable to the City ot Palo Alto, certified by a responsible
bank, tor an amount Vh1ch ahall not be leaa than ten per oent
or the aggregate ot the proposal, or by & bond for said amount
and so pa7&ble, signed by the. bidder and two sureties, who
shAll juatity be~ore any otticer competent to administer oaths,
1n double th~ said amount, and over and above all statutory exemptions.
Said sealed proposals eh&ll be delivered to the Clerk or
5&1d City Council, to-vit, the City Clerk, on or betore seven-t~trty o'clock P.M~ ot Friday, the lOth day of October, 1941,
sai:t time being not lese than ten d&.ya from the time or the
first publication or sAid notice. Bids will be opened on said
day and hour.
