ADOPTING BUDGET AND APPROVING NEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
FOR EXPENDITURE OF 1/4 CENT GAS TAX A1LOCATED FOR STREETS
OF MAJOR UlPORTANCE
WHEREAS; a. memora.ndtl.ll! or agreement ha.e been presenteo:.'l.
to be entered into with the State of California in acaord-
nnce with a. project etatement fo1' e:xpend:.tture of the 1/4
cent gas tax for the fiscal rear 1942 allocated for
stre~te or major 1mpo:r•tance other than State highvays in
the City or Palo Alto; and
WHEREAS, the ctty council hfMl hea1•d rea.d sa:td agr·e~~
ment in full and is ram111a.r with the contents thereof;
THEREFORE, bo it resolved by the city council or the
City t'>f Palo Alto that sa.1d project stat~ement be and it is
her•eb:r adopted as the budget of proposed expend! turea or
tha 1/4 cent gas tax allocated for ztreets or major 1mportnnce
other th.s.n State highways, nnd said .!lgreement be a.n<i the same
is hereby t:•.PPI'oved and the Mayor a.nd the C1 ty Cl erlc are
d1recte6 to s1gn the same on behalf of said City, said agree-
ment to be binding upon t.he City upon 1ts e:xecution by the
authorizr~d officials of the State.
