WBEREAS, the City Council of the City ot Palo Alto did
on the 5th day of May~ 1941, adopt its Resolution Orde~ing
Work and Contir.m.tng Aaaeaament~ No. 1331, wherein 1t<H.d order
the work and improvement to be done and an aaaeaament and dia-
gram to be confirmed, 1n &cco:rda.noe v1 th a total. AnC1 1 temized
eet!Date or the cost8 &nd expenses thereof, all aa more part1cula~ly deeeribod and set fo~th 1n Resolution or Inten-
tion No. 1322 adopted by said City Council on March 26, 191Jl.

directed to publish a notice 1n the Palo Alto T1mee, a neva-
paper ot general c1rculat1o.n, printed, :published and cJ.rcu-
lated in said City of Palo Alto and he~eby designated by
said Council tor that purpose~ a notice inviting sealed pro-
posals or bids for doing the work and making the imProvements d~scribed 1n aa1d resolution or intention, and referring to
the spec1f1oat1oi"l.s on :file 1n t~e otf1ce or said City Clerk.
All proposals or bids shall be a.ocompan.1ed by a check
payable to the City ot Palo Alto, certified by a responsible
bank, tor an B.mOWlt wh.1ch sh&ll not be lese thAn ten per cent
ot the aggregate or the proposal, or by a 'bond :for said amount
and $0 payable, signed by the~1dder and tvo sureties, who
shall justify before any ott1cer competent to administer
oatha, 1n double the said amount, and over and above all statutory exemptions.
Said sealed proposal~ shall be del1ve~ed to the Clerk
ot said City Council, to-wit, the City Clerk, on or before
seven-thirty o'olock P.M. or Monday the 9th day or June,
1941, said ttme being not lesa than ten days :from the time or
the firat publication of aaid notice. Bids will be opened on said d&y and hour.
