WHEEEAS, a memorandum o! agreement haJ been pr6aented
to be entered into w1 th the State c::t Cal1forn1.a in accordance
with a project ate.tement for expenditure of the i cent gaa tax
for the fiscal year 1941 allocated for atreete of major importance
other than State bighwaya 1n the City ot Palo AltoJ and
WHEREAS, the city council has heard read aaid agree-
ment 1n 1'u.ll and 1• t'am111ar w1 th the contentzs thereofJ .
THEREFORE, be it reztolved by the oity oouncU ot the
City or Palo Alto that said project statement be ana it 1e l".~re
by adopted aa the budget ot proposed expenditure• ot the l/4 cent
gas tax allocated for street• of major importance other than
State h1ghwaye, and aa1d agreement be and the same 1a ~ereby
approved and the mayor and the c1 ty clerk are directed to sign
the same an behalf ot ae.1d City, said agreement to be binding
upon the City upon ita "xecuticc by the authorized of:ficiala ot the State.
