work and improvement to be done 1n the City ot Palo Alto, to-wita . ' .
/ · 1. That Marion .A.venue, between Waverley Street and
v Middlefield Road, be widen•d trcm 40 t•et to 50 teet by the
acquisition of' 5 teet on eaeh aide of aa1d atreet.
2. That Colorado •venue, between Cowper Street and
· Middlefield Road, be widened !ram 40 fe6t to 60 teet by the
acquisition or 10 feat on eaeh aide ot aaid street.
3. That Colorado Avenue, between Waverley St~eet and
Cowper Street ·~e re~located ard kept at ita existing width
of60 feet by the acquisition of 10 teet on the Northwesterly
31de ot Colorado Avenue between Waverley Street and Co~r
Street and by the closing and abandoning ot 10 feet on the
Southeasterly e1de of Colorado Avenue between Waverley Street and Cowper Street.
4. That Colorado Avenue, between Alma Street and waverley
' Street, be narrowed from eo £•et to 60 teet by the oloD1ng and
abandoning or 10 feet on each aide or aaid atreet.
5. That El Dora.do A venue, a 70 toot street, between Alma
s·treet and Waverley Street, be olosGd.
6. That San carlos Avenue, a 70 root etreet, betw~en Alma Street and Waverley Street, be closed.
7. That Poppy Avenue, between waverley Street and Cowper
-Street, be widened rram a 50 toot atreet to a 60 toot street,
by-the acquisition ot 5 :teet on each aide ot said street.

Avenue, be widened from 65 teet to 70 teet, by the acquisition
ot 5 feet on the Northeaaterl~ aide of said atreet.

to the city limits, be widened trom 40 teet to 60 teet, bJ

That all of the above enumerated works and improvements &hall be
done in accordance with the •Plan or the Widening, Opening and Closing
of Streets in the South Oregon A'fenue Tract, Palo Alto, prepared
February 1940 by J. F. Byxbee, Street Superintendent,• which aa1d
plan 1e on file 1n the office or the City Engineer, having boen
approved by the City Council by ita Resolution No. 1268 adopted on the 11th da;y ot Karch, 1940. ·

to be taken tor tne proposed improvement.
AU of the herein proposed work shall be done pursuant to the
provisions of Article 2 of. Ordinance 122 of the City of Palo Alto
commonly known and designated aa the.Palo Alto Improvement Proced~
Code, aaid ordinance having been adopted by the Couno1l.of the City o.r Palo .A.l to on September 13, 1937.

Council Chamber of the City Council 1n the City Hall, P~lo Alto,
California, is hereby set aa the day, hour and place when ~1d where
any and all persona having any objeotior~ to the proposed work or
improvement may appear before s91d City Council and aho~ cause why
aaid proposed work or improvement should not be carried out 1n accor-
dance with thia resolution.
The Daily Palo Alto Times, a daily newspaper published and circu-
lated 1n the City or Palo Alto, of general circulat~on, ia hereby
designated as the newspaper in whioh tne City Clerk or the City of
Palo Alto aha.ll Ci.luae to be publiahed in the DWnner and .form required
by law, a oopy of tn1a Resolution of Intention, by causing same to
be publiel:ied twice 1n said newspaper prior to the date of the hearing
of objections to the propoaed·work and improvement.
The Superintendent of Streets et aaid City shall cause to be
conspicuously posted on one side of each street between eaen two
1ntel'aeoting streets, along the line ot saj.d contemplated wark and
~provement, notices of the paeaage of this resolution ~f intention
in the time, manner and for.m prescribed by law.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and re~ularly
introduced and passed at a regular meeting or the Council ot the
City ot Palo Alto, held on the 8th day of •pr11, 1940, by the
