WHEREAS, the Council did by 1ta action oc. the 11th day
of Deoeaber., 1g:s9, direct the Board ot Public Worka ot the
City or Palo Alto to adYort1ae tor and open bide tor tbe con-
struction ot the Mart1el4 Fir• Station, 1n accordance with
plana and apeoitieationa theretofore approved by eaid Council;
AHD. WHER&AS, the Board ot Public Works did on the
22nd day o'! Januarr, 1940, received. and open bide tor auch work;
AND, WHEREAS, tho Board ot Public Wor'b found. that the
bid of c~ w. Kemper waa the loweat bid tor the work to be
perfo~ed and did recommend to the 01ty Council the entering
into a contract with c. w. K~per tor the oonetructlon ot
tht fir• atat1ac, 1n accordance with the aboye mentioned. plana and spec1t1cation.J
