1 of Part 7 of Divieion II of the Labor Code or the State of

public work on behalf of the City of Palo Alto, of Santa Clara

Properly indentured apprent1oee may be ~ployed upon
this work. Such apprentio6& shall be indentured to the Con-
tractor "and shall be steadily employed by him and shall be paid
not leas than the standard wage, paid to apprentices under the
re::-ulationa of the trade at Which he is employed. An &!'pre"'it1oe
ahall be employed only at the work ot the trade to which he is
indentured. The ratio of appre~t1ees employed shall not exceed
one appz~nt1ce to each five {5) journeymen regularly employed
by the con tractor. The 1n1't1al wage to be paid an apprer.tice
shall be not less than ·twenty-five per cent { 25f,) o'~" the J&:·rney-m~n'~ wage being pa1d and shall be increased eaoh aix months 1n
an amount not less than fifteen pe:rccmt ( 15~). The def1.r:t1 t1on
