Palo Alto, outstanding at the date of the filing of the peti-
tion for tr1e holding of such election, or theretofore authorized
for the acquisition, eon at ruction or completion of' certain
municipal improvements, more part3,cu.larly set forth in the Afore-
said ordina.nce, and notice of election and on the ballots used
at said election, are aa follows1

directed to cau~e ~ report of the canvass of returns of said
election by this City Council to be entered a.t large upon the
minutes o! the Council meeting or thi!l date, showing the

annexation and the number cast aga1n~t said annexation.
