Wheroas the City Council is desirous of having the
Library Board adm!nister the Mayfield Branch Li.brary Building, includint; the facilities for social activities;

Tha.t the LJbrary Boarcl of' the City of Po.lo Alto is
horoby assigned by this Council th~ duty of administering the
entire r.:ayfield Bra.nch Library Building; provided, however,.
that said board s::-1.a.ll not,. under this author! ty, promote or
assist in tho promotion of any activities other than those
customur:ly conducted by tho Library Board as a part of the librar·y function. ·
