RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE CONSTRUC!IOB
OF THE MAYFIELD BRANCH LIBRARY.
WHEREAS, the Counc~~l of the City or Palo Alto has
approved the final plans and specifications on tile in tho
Ci t;y Engineer•a office tor the construction or the Mayfield. 'J,ranch Library; and
\n!EREAS, the Council desires that the Board or
Public Works proceed with the receiving or bide, awardint;
of the contract and supervision or the construction of ar.id
branch library; and
WHEREAS, the Board of ?ublic Works has advertised
for bids for the construction or said branch library in ac-
cordance with the above mentioned plans an~ specifications;
NOW, THEREFORE, +,he Council of the C1 ty of Palo
Alto DO RESOLVE a a follows ¥
That the action of the Board of ?ublic Works in
advertising for bids upon the construction or the Mayfield
Branch Library 1~1 accordance with the plana and specifications
on file in the office or the City Eng!neer is hereby ratified ~nd approved. ·
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that aa:Ld boar<! 1e hareby instructed to receive the bids and award the oont~act in
accordance with the custorna:oy procedure :ror the awarding or
contracts by the said board,· to e,xpedite the erection of said
building in accordance with said plana and specifications and
to supervise the construction or th6 same.
