The Council of t.he City or Palo .U to DO REf:OtVE as follows:
WHEREAS, it has bc,en the policy c1f the Dlv1e1on ot

projects on major streets and arterials, tbe payment for which
1a made out of the City's allocation or gau:ol1ne t.ax funds;
and
WHEREAS, The Council of ·::he City of Palo Alto 1a

Hawthorne Avenue and Lytton Avenue, Which ~~treet 1s not a
major street but is cona1d~red a aocondary street;
NOW, THEREFORE, 1:;ho Council of t;he City of Palo
Alto DO RESOLVE as follower
THAT the division of !Uc•hways of the State of ~ali!'ornia
be requested to include the improvement of Emerson Street between
Z.Iawtnorne Avenue and Lytton Avenue in the list or projects which
are to be paid for out of the next allooat:l.on of the gasoline
tax fund.
