~SOLUIION DifiECTINQ EX$CUTION OF R~&D TO MARY ELIZABEtH

~~uLV~D by the Council of tb9 City of Palo Alto
that whereas the City Planning Commission of said City
rss recommended that the width or Cambridge Avenn.e be
fixed at sixty feet; and whereas said city has found
that it can acquire from Mary ~lizabetb Fisher and from
James Melville Fisher, a minor, acting through his
~uardiaa Edna H. Garrigus, a parcel of land belon6ing
to said Mary Elizabeth Fisher and James Melville Fisher
and having a depth of ten (lO) feet 1n exchange for a
parcel of land on the southerly side of lands now held
by said last named parties of an eqUdl depth; and
Whereas it is to the interest of ssid city to
effect this exch~e and daeds to the said city are
abo~t to be executed to the property so to be acquired
by it for the purpose of widening said Cambridge Avenue,--

City convey ·unto said Mary El1~abeth Fisber and Ja10es
Melville Fisher all that certain real property hereinafter
particularly d~scr1Ded, an undivided one-half interest
~oin~ to each of them, anct acce~t from them deeds now
tendered to said ~ity in consideration therefor, and
that a deed of g.1.·ant be executed cOD\'eying the f;aid
real pro~erty unto the said Mary ~lizabeth Fisher and
Jurnes Melville Fisher.
And it is f~ther ordered that the ~ayor of said
city and the City Clerk of said city be and they ar~
hereby authorized t~ subscribe the corporate name and
affix the corporate seal of said city to a deed of
grant conveyinb th& said property unto the said Mary
Elizabeth r'isher and James Melville Fisher, said deed to
be attest~d by said city clerk, and there~pon to
acknowledie th~ same and deliver the same to the grantees
th~rein named. Tho said real property so to be conveyed
to the grantees above mention~d is situate in the City
of Palo Alto, County of Santa Clara, State of C~lifornia,
and is particularly described as follows, to-wit:
A portion of Lot 2, as said lot is delineated
and so designated upon that certain map entitled
"Mayfield, QS s~veyed for W~. Paul Esqr. bf
J. J. Bowen, County S~veyor" filed for record
on July 9, 1867 in Volume "C" of Miscellaneous
Records, page 641, Santa Clara County Records,
described as follows:
Commencing at a point on the northeasterl1
right of way line of the survey for the State
Highway oetween College Avenue and Page ~111
Road, designated as Road IV, S;mta Clara CoLmtr,
Route 2, Section A, said point being distant N.
33°21' E. 50.27 feet from Station "~ 106 + 92.38 P.o.c. of the above mentioned su.Tejl said point
being f~rther identified ns bein& in the south-
easterly line of lands staDdin~ of record heretofore
