CALLING FOR SEALED PROPOSALS
LOMA VERDE ANNEX SEWERS
PROJECT NO. 47-5
RESOLVED, by the City Counc:t.l of the City of Palo Alto,
California, that
WHKREASt the City Council of the City of Palo Alto did on
the 13th day of October~ 1947, adopt its Resolution of Intention
to order work to be done and acqu1e1t1.on and improvements to be
made in said C1 ty, all as more particularly desc1•ibed and set
forth 1n said Resolution of Intention;
NOW, THEREFORE, the city Clerk of said City is hereby directed

to publish in the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper or general circulation,
printed, published and circulated in said City and hereby designated
by said Council for that purpose, a Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals
or Bids for doing the work and making the improvements descr1be·d in
said Resolution of Intention, and referring to the plans and speci-
fications on file in the office of the City Clerk.
All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a. check payable
to the City of P~lo Alto, certified by a responsible bank, for an
amount which shall not be less than ten per cent (lO~j of the ag-
gregate or the proposal, or by a bond for said llmount and so
payable, signed by the bidder and two sureties, who shall justify
before any officer competent to administer oaths, 1n double the
said amount, and over and above all statuto:::-y exemptions.
Said sealed proposals shall be delivered to the Clerk of said
Ci.ty Council, to-wit: the Clty Clerk, on or before 3:00 P.M. or
Monday, the 5th day of Jb.lluary, 1948, said time being not less than
ten days from the time of the first publication of said notice.
B1cta will be opened, examined and declared on said day and hour by
the Board of Public Works of said C:l. ty, in the C<.)uncil Chamber3 in
the City Hall in sa1d City, who shall report to the City Council
its findings, which findings shall be considered by said Councll
at its meetlng to be held at said place on Monday, January 12, 1948,
at 7:30 o'clock F.M.

I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy of resolu-
tion adopted by th~ City Council of the City of Palo Alto, California,
at an adjourned re~ular meeting thereof held on the 17th day or
December, 1947, by the following vote of the members thereof:
AYES, and 1n favor ther•eor, Councilmen: Blo1s,, Bolander, Cashel,
Freedman, Gaspar, Merner, M.i.tchell, Montrouil, Morten,
Tho1ts, Wickett.
NOES, Councilmen: None.
ABSENT, Councilmen: Bentrott, Bowden, Linder, Thomas.
