OVERRULING PROTESTS
LOMA VERDE ANNEX SEWERS
PROJECT NO. 47-5
RESOLVED, by the City Counc:l of the CHy of Palo Alto,
Cal1t'ornia, that
WHEREAS, said City Council did on the 13th day or October,
1947, pass its Resolutlon of Intenti.on No. 1620,, to make the pub-
lic improvement therein more particularly described, and did
therein flx the t1me and place when and where sa1d Council would
hear any and all persons interested therein.; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk and Super!nte:ndent or Streets of said
City duly gave notice of the time and place or sa1d hes.ring, in the
time~ form an.ct manner provided by law; a~'ld
WHEREAS, this is the time and place fixed 1n said resolution
when and where said Co1..mcil will hear said protests and object1ona;
and
WP..EREAS, wrlt ten and oral protests and objections against the
proposed improvements 1 or against tile dlstr1ct to be as.sessed for
the costs and expenses thereof, or to the cay Eng1neeI''e estimate
of the costs and. expenses thereof, or against the grades a.t which
said work shall be done, or against the diagram or assessment, have
been filed witn the City Clerk of aaid Clty at or before the time
set for said hea.r1ng by persons 1nterested or who ax-e owners of
property which is subject to assessment in said proceedings; and
WHEREAS, sald City Council haa duly heard and comddered each

and all or said protesta and objections and each and all pers•:ms , ~·
desiring to be heard in connection with said matter was and were l
given an opportunHy to and did p.reaent their sald protests and l
objectiono, arid said matters were fully presented, heard and con--·
s1dered by said Council; and
\o/HEREAS, it appears and said Council so finds that said pro-
tests so filed were not filed by the owners of more than one-half
of the /\X"ea of the property to be assessed for sal.d improvement.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AND ORDERED that said protests
and obJectlons be and they and each and all of them are hereby over-
ruled and denied.

adopted by the City Council or the Cj.ty of Palo Alto, California .•
at an adjourned regular 2neetir1g thereof held on the l 7t!1 day of
December, 1947, by the following vote of the members thereof:
