RELEASING SURETIES

RESOLVED, by the City Council of th~ City of Palo
Alto, Callfornia,that
WHEREAS, a contract has been heretofore awarded to
and executed. by Union Paving Co., .a corporation, with t!'le Clty
of Palo Alto, for the conatruct1on of certain public 1mprove-
ment5 under Resolution of Intention No. 1516 adopted by this
Council on June 10, 1946;
WHEREAS, after proceedings to that end duly had and
taken, said work was r~let to the Board of Public Works at the
prtces stated j,n the bid or said Union Paving Co., and said Board
or Publ:l.c Works has sublet said work at the eame prices and has
received faithful performance and labor and material bonds
covering said subcontract; and
WHEREAS, it appears and 121 hereby determined that no
lose will result to tbe c::.ty from the 3ublett1ng of said work;
NOW, THEHEPORg, IT IS ORDERED that Central Surety .u.nd
Insurance Company, a corporatlon, surety on the faithful per-
formance and labor and material bonds under that certain con-
tract entered ln.to by and betwf!'en the City ol'' Palo Al to and
Union Paving Co. on August 12, 1946, under and pursuant to
said Resolution of Intent:ton No. 1516, be, and they a.re hereby,
released from each and all, their obligations under said bondB;
and that the C:tty G~ erk forward a certified copy of th!a reso-
lution to said surety company.

resolution adopted by the City Council of the City of Palo Alt~,
Ca11forn1a, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 13th day
