tion to order work to be done and acqu.1alt1on and improvem~nt:s

set forth in ~aid Resolution of Intent!on;

and her~by des!gnated by said Council for that purpo~e, a. Notice
Inv1'c;lng Seal~cl Pr·opo5als or Btds for do!.ng the work and making
the irnprov~mcnt~; described :Ln sa:l.d Resolution oi" Intention, and
:c·~ferrine; to the plan3 and speclftcat1ons on file in the office
of the C::. ty Clerk.
All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a check
payable to the Clty of Palo Alto, cert1fled by a r~sponsible
bank for an amount wh.tch shall not be less than ten per cent (10~~ of the aggregate of the proposal, or by a bond for sald
amount ai1d so payable, sign~d by the bidder and two suret1e3,
who ehall just1t'y before any officer comJ)etent to administer
oaths, in double the ~1aid amount, and over and above a.11 statu-
tory exemptions.
Said s~aled proposals shall be delivered to the Clerk
or said Clty Council, to-wlt: the C1.ty Clerk, on or before
3:00 P.M. of Monday, the 10th day of November, 1947, said time
being not less than ten days from the time of the first publi-
,.cat.lon of ~J.&id notice. Bids will be: opened, exa.minl'.!d anll
declared on ea1d day and hour· by the Board of Public Works of
said C1.ty, in the Gouncil Chc:i.mbers in ';he City Hall 1n sa1d
City, who shall report to the City Council its findings, which
findings shall be considered by said Council at its meeting to
be held at said place on Monday, November 10, 1947, at 7:30 o'clc1ck P. M.
