Conatruct1on of vitrified clay, cast iron and transl te pipe sar11 tary seW'erage main!!, wye branches and house laterals, with standard manholes complete with cast iron frames and covers and wrought iron steps in Cowper Street and Middle- field Road from Matadero Creek to the southeasterly cl~'lni'I"ts; 1f08Sltoaa-rrom Colorado Avenue to the Seale Canal, from 1'..atadero -C-reek to-the southeasterly c1ty limits; Louis Road from Matadero Creek to the southeasterly city limits; LOD'ia"'Vir""d'i Avenue from Wave~ley Street to a 50 foot Re3erve soutnweet and.adjacent to the northeasterly boundary of the C. M. Wooster Subdivision of the Clarke Ranch; the af orement1oned 50 foot Reserve from Loma. Verde Avenue to Colorado Avenue; Colorado Avenue from a point 125 fi!et northeast or the northeasterly Tine or Louis Road to the Bayshore Highway; Pablo Road from Colorado Avenue to the Sea.le Canal; an outfallline no'rthwesterly along the Bayshore Highway to an existlne Pacific Gas & Electric Company easement and along said easement to a point on Embarcadero Road approxi- mately 1. 000 feet northeasterly of the Bayshore Highway; a. 2ump pump station w1'ch cement concrete hou.ee and pumping i'ac111t1ea complete in said outfall at Colorado Avenue a..~d Ba.yshore High- way; and all work au.x111al"Y to any of the above which may h~ reqt:.~red to carry out same; and the acqu131t1on of lands ar~d easements necessary therefor. 2. Whenever anJ,• public way ls herein referred to as rtmning between two public ways, or from or 'to any public way, the intersections of the public ways referred to are 1nchtded to the extent that work shall be shown on the plans to be done t.hereon. 3. Sa:i.d streets, avenues, roads, courts and 1•ight5 of wa:,· are m.ore particularly shown in the records or the office of the County Recorder of Santa Clara. County, California., and are shown upon the plane herein referred to and f11ed with the City Clerk of said City. 4. All of aa1d work, acquisition a.nd lmprovements a.re to be constructed at the places and. in the p~rt1cu.lar locat1ons, of the forms.• size a and d 1mens1on.s and materials, and to the lines and grades, and at the elevations, aa shown and delineated upon the plane, profiles and 5pec1f'icat1on5 made therefor and prel1m1nar11y approved by the City Council of said City of Palo Alto at a regular meeting thereof duly held on the 13th day of October, 1947, and on file in the office of th& Clerk of said City, reference to which is hereby made for a full &11d detailed description or said proposed work ~d for further particulars. 5. Said City Council d.oes hereby adopt and eetabliah ag the of f1c1al grades for sa.1d. work the gra.dee and elevations shown upon said plans and profiles, to which referen~e 1s h9reby made .ror a description thereof. All suc.h gr.ades and elevations are ~.n feet and cteciniala thereof ln reference to the official base &nd datum or said City. In many caaes aaid grades are new or different from those ro:rrnally establ1shed by the Council, and from the surface of the ground. 7. All of said work and improvements shall be done under the superv:ts1on of .the City Engineer of the City of Palo Alto, and a.11 said work a.nd mater1a.1s shall be done and furnished to h.i:s satisfaction. 6. Notice 1s her~by given that, pursuant to Section 2 of Article if of Ordinance Ne.. 844 or sa.1d City, commonly designa- ted t1Palo Alto Improvement Procedure Code", adopted January 13, 1941, the City Encineer of said City haa filed with the City Clerk of said City, accompa.ny1ng the plane and specifications above referred to, a statement of the total and itemized esti- mated cost of said 1mprovement3, inclusive or incidental costs and expenses of this proceeding, stating therein separately the estimated cost or each class or ~onstruct1on proposed, estimated cost of acqu1s1t1ons, the incidental expense.a such as engineering, 1nspec ti on an.ct the coat of preparin5 proceedings, the total estimated cost of which is stated ae $93,416.00, which ls open to public inspection. 9. The properties so benefited, and the boundaries· thereof, are more particularly ahown on the map of said assessment d13tr1ct on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, to which reference is hereby made for a more detailed descr1pt1on thereof. 10. Notice is further given that there 1e on file with the City Clerk a diagram of the assessment district showing each lot or subd1 ·1ision of land to be u1ee1!H!ed and the dimensions thereof, and an aaeesement of the estimated cost of said work and improve- ment upon isa1d lots and parcels according to beneflts to be received from said work and improvements, each of which have cor- responding numbers for each such lot or parcel. 11. That all clty-owned property fronting on oaid 1m- provement5 shall be assessed for 1ts share of the co3t of said benefits and the amount thereof pa.id 111 cash by the City. All public streets, alleys and ways 1n use in the performance of the public function shall be emitted from the assessment hereinafter to be made to cover the cost of said improvement. 12. Notice is hereby given that serial bonds' to repre- sent the unpaid asae~ements and bear interest at the rate 0£ not to exceed four per cent (4%) per annum, will be issued pursu&nt to Part 4, Bond Plan C of Article rv of the Palo Alto Improvement Procedure Code, the last 1nstallment of which shall mature nine (9) years from the second day of July l'l.ext succeeding ten montha from their date. 13. Except as herein otherwise provided for the 13s·uance of bonde, all of the above proposed work shall be done in pur- suance cf the provisions of Article V of said Palo Alto Improve- ment Procedure Code. 14. Noti~e is hereby given that Monday, the 10th day of November, 1947, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M., at the Council Chambeirs of the City Council of said City, in the Clty Hall or sa:.l..d City of Palo Alto, is hereby fixed as the t1me and place when and whei•e any and all persons having any objections to the proposed improvements or-against the d13tr1ct to be a.3sessed :ror the costs and expenses thereof, or to the City Engineer• 8 estimate of the costs and expenses ther~of, or against the grades at which e.a1d work shall be done, or against the diagram or assessment, may appear before said. Council and show cause why sald proposed improvements should not be carried out 1n accordance with this resolution or intention. 16.
