PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS
COWPER STREET, ET AL.
PROJECT NO. 46-4
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City or Palo Alto,
California, that
WHEREAS, said Council did on the 10th day or June, 1946,
adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 1516 re la.ting to certain
work to be done and improvements to be made 1n aaid C1 ty, 'IJ.nder
and pur-sua:nt to the provisions of Article V of Ordinance No. 844
of sa.td City, adopted. January 13, 191~1.. entitled ' Palo Al to
Improvement Procedure Code~, and did therein provide that serial
bonds would be issued thereunder pursuant to the provisions of
Part 4, Bond Plan C of Article IV of said Code, reference to
said Reeolut1on of Intention being hereby expressly made for
further particulars;
WHERE.'\S, on September 25, 1947, the Superintendent of
Streets of said City of Palo Alto filed with the Clerk of said
City a complete list of all assessments unpaid thereunde-r upon
the respective assessment and diagram numbers thereon, whereupon
said Clerk gave notice of the filing of said 11.st and fixed in
said no't1ce Monday, the 13th day of October, 1947, at the hour
of 7:30 o'clock P.M., as the time when interested persons might
appear before the City Council of said City, at the regular meet-
ing place of said Co1mcil in the City Hall in said City, a.nd
show cause why bonds should not be issued upon the securi t~,r of
the unpaid assessment5 shown on said list, all of which appears
from a.ffidav.tts on file in the cff.'1ce of sa.1d Clerk;
WHEREAS 1 no protests c·r objections aga1nst the issuance
I of sa.id bonds were presented before or at the time fixed for
I said hearing;

1. That said list ot aaeesamenta unpaid filed by
aa1d Superintendent of Streets ae aroreaaid waa at the time of
filing ttiereof in all respects complete and correct, and that
a1nce the fil.1.ng thereof no aseeasments have been paid and also
that the unpaid assessmente tn the proceedings duly had and taken
under and pursuant to said Resolution of Intention are as follows:

4. That bonds shall be issued upon the security of

accordance with the provisions of Part 4, Bond Plan C of Article
JV of the Palo Al to Improvement Procedure Ccide, and under and
pursuant to the provj.s1ons of Reaolut1on of Intention No. 1516
and the proceedi.ngs thereund~r duly had and ta.ken; that said
bonda shall be '.fwo Hundred Fifty (250) in number, shall be
dated September 25, 1947, and bear 1nt~re5t at the rate of not
to exceed four per cent (4%) per annum from September 25; 1947;

and euch proportion of each assessment coming due in any year,

able in installments as the general taxes of oa1d City on real
property are payable, and shall become delinquent at the same
times and in the ea.me proportionate amounts and bear the same pro-
portionate penalties for delinquency.
That the s1gnature3 of the Mayor and Treasurer be 1m-
preese~ upon said bond3 by engraved or lithographed process and
that said City Clerk physically sign said bonds and affix thereto
the corporate Ge&l of said City; the interest coupons affixed
thereto shall be signed by said Treasurer or.bear his engraved,
printed or lithographed signature; and such s1gn1ng and sealing
of said bonds by eaid. officers, and signing of said coupons by
s&1d Treasurer, shall constitute and be a sufficient and binding
execution or each an.d every one of said bonds and all of the
coupons thereof' re spec ti vely. Said bonds shall be substantially
1n the form set forth in Bend Plan C of Article IV of said
Palo Alto Improvement Procedure Code; said Treasurer and said
Mayor and said Clerk &re hereby authorized and directed to so
sign and attest respectively. ll
