ience require, 1.nd ·that it 1• the 1ntent1o.n ot a&1d City Council
to order the following acqu1a1t1ona to be had, work to be done
and improvements to be made 1n aa1d City, to-wit:
l. The ilij>roving ot x.,tton Avenue between Alma Street
and Emerson Street by the installation therein ot electroliera
complete with concrete baaes and conduit and cable.
2. The improving ot Lytton Avenue between laerson Street and Cowper Street by acquiring seven reet on each side thereof
for widening_, and grading, removal ~t trees and existing struc-
tures, reconstructing cement concrete curbs, gutters, s1dewallca,
and atorm water catch bas1na and drain pipe, relocating existing
hydrants with caat iron pipe connect1ona, constructing cement
concrete base pavement with an asphalt concrete wearing aur-
race, and the 1netallat1on ot electrol1ers complete with concrete
bases and conduit and cable.
3. The 1.mprov1ng or Hamilton Avenue between Al.Ila Street
and Ramona Street by widening, setting curbs back tour feet, by
grading, the removal or treea and existing atructurea, and re-
constructing cement concrete curbs, gutters, and a1dew&lka, and
storm water catch baa1ns and drain pipe, aonatruct1ng an aaphalt
concrete wearing aurrace over the existing pavement, and re-
locating existing hydrants with cant iron p1pe connect1ona, by
the installation and relocation therein of electrol1ere complete
with concrete bases and conduit and cable.
4. That Hamilton Avenue between Waver:ey Street and
Cowper Street be improved by acqu1r.1ng seven feet on each a1c1e
thereof tor widening, by grading the s1dee, removal or trees and
existing atructures, and relocating cement concrete curbs, gut-
ters, sidewalks, and storm water catch bae1na and drain pipe~
relocating existing hydrants with ca.et :J.ron p!pe connections,

ot doing said work and the expenaee incidental thereto, ahall

district shall consist or the conaol1dated and composite areaa
ot all of the parcels or property fronting on said acqu1a1t1on
and work, and the exterior boundariea of said di•trict are hereby
declared to be the coterminous boundar1e1 of aaid compoa1te and
com1011dated area. The properties so benet1ted, and the bounc1-
ar1ea thereot, are more particularly ahown on the map or said

sent the unpaid assessments and bear 1nte~eat at the rate or not
to exceed tour per cent (4~) per annum, will be issued pursuWlt
to Part 4, Bond Plan c ot Article IV ot the Palo Alto Improve-
ment Procedure Code, the last installment or which shall mature
nine (9) years from the second da7 or July next succeeding ten
months from their date.
24. Said aoqu1a1tion and improvement proceed1nge are
analogous and similar in effect to those provided 1n California
Statutes ot 1913 at page 421, et seq., as amended, and said bond
proceedings are analogous and similar 1n ettect to thoae provided
in D1v1e1on 10 or the Cal1torn1a Streets and Highway Code, and,
excepting as herein otherwise provided, these proceedings shall
respectively be deemed taken pursuant thereto.
25. Reference 1a hereby made to the proceedings had
pursuant to .Article I ot said Improvement Procedure Code on
file 1n the o!f1ce or the City Clerk or aa1d City.
26. Except as herein otherwise provided tor the issuance
ot bonda, all of the above proposed work shall be done in pur-
