ACQUISITION A.MD IMPROVEMEHT
RESOLVED, by the City Council of tho City or Palo Alto,
Cal1torn1a, that
WHEREAS, aa1d City Council did on the 14th day or April, 19~7, pass 1ts Resolution No. 1574 to make the public acqu1s1-
t1one and 1mprovementa therein more particularly described, and
did therein fix the time and place when and where said Council
would hear any and all peraons 1ntereated therein; and

WHEREAS, the City Clerk &nd Superintendent or Streets ot
said City duly gave notice or the time and place or said hearing,
in 1:he time, rorm and. manner provided by law; and
W'HEREAS, this 1a the time and place fixed 1n aa1d resolu-
tion when and where aaid Council w1ll hear said protests an4
obJections; and
WHEREAS, written and oral proteata and obJect1ons against
the proposed improvements, or against the district to be
aaseaaed for the coats and expenses thereof, or to the City
Engineer's estimate or the costs and expenses thereof, or againet
the grades at which said work shall be done, or aga1nat the
diagram or assessment, have been filed with the City Clerk or
aa1d City at or before the time set tor said hearing by persona
interested or who are owners of property which 1a subject to
a'aaeaement in said proceedings; and
WHEREAS 1 aa1d City Council has duly heard and considered
each and all of said proteata and obJectiona and each and all ,t
persona desiring to be heard in connection with said matter was ~
and were g1 ven an opportun1 ty to and did present their said r:
p:r·oteata and objections, and said matters were fully presented, ,~
heard and considered by said Council; and j
WHEREAS, it appears and said Council so finds that eald
proteets so filed were not tiled by the owners or more than
on~-halt ot the area or the property to be assessed tor said
.improvement •
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AND ORDERED that said
protests and objectiona be and they and each and all of them are
hereby overruled and denied.

California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 9th uay
