REUTIVE TO CONTRACT FOR EXTENSION OF
EI..ECTRIC UTILITIES.
'WHEREAS, the City Co~c11 heretofore advertised for
bids for the vork anti improvement u.oo,,r Project 47-3 fo1• the
e:xtenslon of electric ut111t1ee in the r rice Tract, Pi.1cMlef'1elcl
Park 112 aoo Midd lef:teld Parle #3; and
WHEREAS, only one bid vas rece1vea on the project, vhich
bid vas from the Petersen Engineering Company in the sum of $25~801.00; and
'WHEREAS! the City Eng1neer•8 eet1mate for said work ls
in tne sum of ~16,251.60;
NOW» THEREFORE, the Council Of the City Of Palo Alto DO RESOLVE as rollo~s:
~~hat the bid of the Petersen Engineering Company for the
vorl.: am improvement under Project 47-3 covering the e~tans1on
of electric ut111t1ee 1n t,he Price Tract, Middlefield Park #2
and Miadlef1eld Park #3, be ancl the same is hereby rejected.
BE IT PUR'!'HER RESOLVED that the Department of Public
Works be anc.1 it 1s hereby di~ected to proceed with said vork
a:r.ld improvement ln accordance vith the Eng1neer•s plans and
estimate.
The above nr~ foregoing :resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and passed at a regular meeting of the Council of
the City of Palo Alto held on Monday, the 14th day of April,
1947, by the folloving vote:
