I r I J I I i ' ' ·l ! i RESOLlJ'l1ION NO. 1567 CALLING FOR SEALED PROPOSALS MELVILLE AVENUE., ET AL PROJECT NO. •o-2A RXSOLVED, by the C1ty Council of the City of Palo Alto, California, that WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Palo Alto d1~ on the 10th ~ay of June, 1946, adopt 1te ~esolution or !nten- t1on to O:rder work &JXI confirm assesement, wherein it did order the work and improvement to be done alld an assessment amd1a-g~am to be conf'il'lll&d in accordance with a total and itemized estimate of the coats and e~pensea thereof, all ae more partic- ularly described and set forth in said resolution; and pro- ceedings are pending tor the change and mod1f1cat1on thereof. NOV, THEREPORE, the City Clerk or said City 1e hereby directed to publish in the Palo Alto T1mea, a newspaper of gen- eral o1rculat1on, printed, published and circulated in said Citf and hereby designated bf said Council for that purpose, a Notice Inviting Sealed Propo~ale or Bids for doing the vork am making the improvements described in said resolutlon of 1ntentlon as proposed to be m0d1f1ed, an(! referring to the plane and apecifioat1ons as proposed to be m~1fied, on file in the Office of the City Clerk. All p:ropoeals or bids shall be accompanied by a check payable to the City of Palo Alto, certified by a responsible bank, for an amount wbich shall not be less than ten per cent (l°"J or the aggregate of the proposal, or by a bond for said amount an(! so payable, signed by the bidder and tvo sureties, vho ah.all justify before any officer competent to administer oaths, in double the said amount, and over al'l'3 above all statutory exempt.tons.
