ORDERING MODIFICATIONS OF PROCEEDINGS
MELVILLE AVEmT.! ET AL
PROJECT NO. 4~-2A
RESOLIVE, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, California, that
'WHEREAS, purs.iant to Reeolut1on No. 1561 of th11!1 Council
ordering eame, notice has been ~uly given or the intention of
this Council to modify the prooeod1nge ~er Reaolut1on of
Intention No. 1511 of thie Council 1n the time and form provided
by lav, aoo t.hie 1s the time and place aet for hearing thereor; and
'WHEREA$, ten per~ons 1ntereetedappeared or file~
written protest~ aga!zlet aa1~ prooeed1nge or a part thereof, a~
all persons interested desiring to be heard were given an oppor-
tunity to be heard and all matters a~ things pertaining to ea1~
changes in work.vere fully heard and considered by thie Council, and said proteste overruled.
NOW 1 THEREFORE, IT IS ORDRRED, that the folloving changes
aoo mod1f1cat1one in the proceedings umer Resolution of Inten-
tion No. 1511 be made anc'J had·' as more particularly described as follows, to-wit:
l. Change and modify the work proposed to be dono by
eliminating from the plans the work and improvement proposed to
be dona on Wilson Street between Harker Avenue al'Xl Parkinson
Avenue. and on Pine Street between Harker Avenue and Parkinson Avenue~ :by eliminating the quantities alld pricee thereof from
the estimate or cost, and by el1m1nrit1ng from the d1ag:ram a~
assessment the amounts assessed for the cost of said proposed
work aoo improvement to-wit: Parcels designated as A1sessment
Numbers 247 to'252, inclusive; parcels designated as Assessment
Numbers 283 to 287, 1nclue1ve; am parcele deai.gnated as asseiiss-
ment Numbers 294 to 296, inclusive, a~ by adding the following
new assessments on the diagram and aeeesament, to-v1t:

2. Change and modify the work to be done by 1nclucHng in the plane Harker Avenue between Hutchinson Avenue aoo Newell
Road, to be improved by constructing therein grading, crusher
run baee pavement and asphalt wearing surf.ace, Portlaoo cement
concrete curbs, gutters aoo s1devalks, and driveway aprons,
and ean1ta17 sever, gas and water house eervicee, by including
the quantities a~ coats thereor in the estimate of cost.
3. Change and mOC11fy the work to be done by 1nc1Ud1ng
1n the plans and specifications for all of the other streets
to be improved ~er the Resolution or Intention ae herein mOd-
1f1eC, sanitary sewer, gas anj vater house e~rvicee.
4. Change and m~ify the plans to provide that curbs
shall be Type B instead of Type A on Hutchill:!lon Avenue between
Chann1rig Avenue and Harker Avenue.
s. Change al'll.1 moo1.fy the plans to provide for the con-
struction of Portla~ cement concrete pavement, curb, and s1~e
valk on Parkinson Avenue at the point of intersection or
Pa.rk1mon Avenue with the closed portion of Pine Street.
6. 'l'hat said changes aoo mod1f1ca.tj.ons be made by the
City Engineer upon the face of the plans, apec1f1cat1ons, esti-
mate or costs, diagram and aseesament on file vith the City
Clerk, or by filing amended copies thereof or ame~ments thereto.
7. Change am modify the eet1me.te of costs for said work am improvement 'to not to exceed $130,000400.
8. Change am m0d1f:r the ae11essment by changing the estimate~ cost of York, the incidental expense, aild the total
e!timated cost or the work s .. nd the City 'Contribution to $290.30,
and by changing the 1m1v1dual asseesments therein to conform
to the benefits to be received therefrom.

9. That reference be, and 1t 1e hereby qwade to the
amenjed plans and spec1f1eat1ons, amended estimate or cost, and
amended diagram and assessment on tile in the office of the C1ty
Clerk or said City.
