RELATING TO 3UBMISSION OP' PARJCING METER Q~S'fION TO THE PEOPL!
AT THE MAY ELECTION.
'WHEREAS, s petition was 8Ubm1tted to the City Council on Febrw:iry 1 O, 19'~7, reques t1ng ths t the Council e1 ther pas a
Bn ordinance abolishing all parking meter reguletions or
submit the question to the people at a special electi~n v1th1n the time require~ by the charter; and
WHEREAS, the Council has decided that, in o:rder to
save the t~~payera the sum of approximately $1,500.00 in
connection vith the holding of B 5pec1al election, it voul~
comply 111th ea1~ petition by repee.11ng the parking meter
ordinance as reqt1eetet1, am has repealed. said ordinance ttm

NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palc-Alto DO RESOLVE as follows:

the que~tion of whether or not parking meters shall be
cont!nued 1n. Uf!e in the City of 'Palo Alto under the provision~
of Ordina~ce No. 1059.
