WEREAS, on January 19, 1928, Al:tred E. 'Werry and
F'redr1ckA G. llerl'1, his wife, e>:ecuted a Dee~ to the C!ty
of Palo Alto, covering a portion of their prop~rty fronting
on Waverley Street, between Un1vere1ty Avenue arx'J Lytton
Avenue, for the purpose of street widening; a~
'WHEREAS SAID 'Widening procedure vas never underts k:en
by the City end sa1~ property has not been u~e~ for the pur-

'WHEREAS, the Deed of Dedication above mentioned vas recorded
erroneously on February 9, 1928, it being the understan31ng
bet~een the city an.1 the dedicator~ that the dee~ vould not
be reco~ed until the vork was un.1ertaken;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto DO
RESOLVE, as follows:
That the Mayor a~ City Clerk be and they are hereby
authorized to execute a Grant Deed ooverinp; that certain
psrcel of property in the City of Palo Alto, County of Santa
Clara, State of California, more particularly de!cribed ae
follows, to vit:
BEGINNING at a point on the northeasterly line
of Waverley Street, which point bears northwesterly
132.5 feet ~rom the 1ntereect on thereo: with the
northve8terly line of public alley through Block 30;
thence on lnCJ along said northeasterly line of
Vaverley Street in a nort~vesterly direction s ~is
tance ot 37.5 feet; thence at right an~lee e~ in a
northeasterly direction a distance or 7 feet; thence
at right ang1ea and pornllel to 'Waverley Street 1n ia
northeasterly direction a dietanoe of 37.5 feet; thence
nt right angles a~ in a southvesterly direction e
aistance of 7 feet to the point of beginning; the same
being a portion of Lots 15 a~ 16, Block 30, o~ the
City of Palo Alto, as recorded in Book G of Maps, at
page 65, Reco:rds of the Ccunty of Santa Clare.
