RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1536
FOR 'l'HE CLOSING OF A PORTION OF \l'ILSON
STREET AND A PORTIO~ OF PINE S!BBE'.r IN
THE CITY OF PALO Ai.TO.
.The Counc1l cf the City of Palo Alto DO RESOLVE as follows:
Section l. That 1t iu the intention of.the Council of the
City of Palo Alto to order the following vork arXI improvements
to be dor.i.e 1n said city:
(1) That the following described part of Wilson Street
in the City of l;e.lo Al to between Parkinson Avenue aoo

being the true point of commencement; thence weste1•ly

Section 3. Said work and improvement 1• to be had and
taken pursuant to the prov1a1ona ot Article 3 ot O:rd1nance 844
of the City of Palo Alto, oommonl1 known and deo1gnated as the
Palo Atto Improvement Procedure Code,aa~ ordinance having been
adopte~ by the Council ot th~ City ot Palo Alto on January 13, 1941.
Section 4. For a moz·e particular deacription of t.lle work
to be done hereWlder, reference 1• hereby made to the folloving
maps or plate on file with the Superintendent or Streets or the
City or Palo Alto, aJ1d entitled •Plan tor the closing or Pine

son Avenue , prepared on August l3, 1946, by Fabian S. Miller,
City Engineer.
Section 5. Notice 18 hereby given that Mon:iay, the 14th
day of October, 1946, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. at the Council
Chamber of the City Councll of said city, in the City Hall,
Palo Alto, California, be and the same 1a hereby set as the day,
hour and place where and 'When any a.m all persona having any
objections to the proposed work or improvement, may appear before
said council and show cause vhy said proposed work should not be
ca:c·r1ed out in accordance with this reeolution.
Section 6. The Daily Palo Alto Times, a daily newspaper
published and circulat~d 1n the City of Palo Alto, ot general
circulation, is hereby designated as the newspaper in which the
City Clerk or the City of Palo Alto shall cause to be publ1ehed
in the manner and form required by law, a COP'J' ot this Resoluti.a.n
of IntPntion, by causing eam~ to be published twice in said news-
paper prior to the date Of the hearing Of Objections to the pro-
posed work a~ improvement.
Section 7. The Superintendent or Streets of ea1d city
shall cause to be conapicuously posted on one side of each street
between each tvo 1nters&ct1no streets, along the lilllJ or said
contemplated work a1XJ improvement, notices of the passage of this
resolution of intention 1n the time, manner am torm prescribed
by law.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly a.a.i regularly
lntroduced and ,passed at a regular meeting of the Council or
the City of Palo Alto, held on the 10th day of September, 1946,
by the £ollow1ng vote;
