for allotment to provide for financial assist~~ce t~ Local
Agencies, Clef'1ned therein as count1ea, c1t1efl and C:runt1es, or
cities, so that they may engage in a lar·ge public 'W"'rks con-
struction program in (')rder to pt'event and alleviate wiemployment; and r
w'HEREAS, the City of Palo Alto, herein.after de~ignated ·~ccal Agency" desires to apply for an allotment or State aid for
thr.i crnnstructicin. of a public works proj"ct under said Act; and
'WHEREAS, an epplj"ca.t1on to the Stete Director of Pinence t'or ~uch an allotment has been prepared and presented to this Leg1s-
la t1 ve Bcdy for consideration; and
WHEREAS, Local Aze-ncy h.a.a ma'1e provisions for payine thB t
pc·r·tic:11 of the C08t of the protect not reiueeted ae an allotment fr0rn the Stltte;
NOW THEREFORE,. BE IT RESOLVEU, that Local Agency submit the
11fores1:1j.d application tor State a1CI for construction of s. public
works project to the D:rector of Finance, reauesting an allotm~nt
of $15,000.00, or ~n allotment of such amount as may be allotted
by the State .Allocetlon Borird;
BE IT FUR".T'HER RESOLVED, that Local Agency hereby c"'rt1f1es
that the total estimate of coat to be paid for the construction
of the South Palo Alto Trunk Se"'er Line for which Local Agency
is making application under said Act ts $30,000.00; and
BE IT l<,URTHER RESOLVED, that i...0cal Agency hereby r•eoueete
the State to pay the State 1s share of the total actual cost of
construction of the project for which Local Agency is mak1ng appl1ca~on for sid;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED 1 that for the purpose of this request,
J. B. Blois, Mayor of the City of Palo Alto, whose address ia
City Hell, Palo .tU to, Ce.11for.n1e, be and he j s hereby designated
EJS tht; autho:rlzed agent of Local Agency, and 1s hereby authorized
and directea to sign the herein mentioned 8.pplicatior of Local
Agency and to submit the same to the State Director of Finance
together with a certified statement of the total estimate~ cost
to be paJ.d for conatruct1on of the pr('lject herein mentioned and
such other information ea may be required; Bnd said authorized
a.gent .ts further authorized and directed ss representative of
Local Agency, to conduct all negotiations and conclooe all
