RESOI,VED, by the City Council of the City of Palo Alto,
California, that
WHEREAS, the City Cowic1l of the City of :Palo Alto did
on the 10th day of June, 1946, edopt its reeolution or
intention to order vork and confirm a.ssessment, wherein it did
order the work and 1mpro\rement to be done and an assessment
and diagre..m to be confirmed 1n accol'Clance with a total and item-
ized estimate of the costs and e~penses thereof, all ao m.ore
particularly described and set forth 1n said resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City C.Lerk of said City 1e hereby
directed to publish a not1ce 1n the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper
of general c1rculat1on, printed, published and circulated 1n
aaid City and hereby deeignated by said Council for that purpose,
a notice 1nv1 ting sealed proporu1ls or bide for doing the work
a.ru:i making the 1mprove1Dents deecribed 1n said resolution of
intention, and referring to the epec1flcat1ons on :file 1n the
office of the City Clerk.
All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a check
payable to the City of Palo Alto, certified by a ~esponB1ble
bank~ for an amount which shall not be less than ten per cent
(l0fo1 of the aggregate of the proposal or by a bond for sa1a
amount and so payable, signed by the bidder and tvo sureties, who
shall justify before any officer competent to administer oaths,
in double the said runount, and over and above all statutory ex-emptions.
Said sealed proposals shall be delivered to the Clerk of
said City Council, to-wit: The City Clerk, on or before 7:30
o i clock P. M. , of Monday, the 8th. Clay of July, 1946, said time
being not less tha..r.. ten <lays from the time of the first
publication of said notice. B1(js will be opened on said
day and hour.

I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy or
resolution adopted by the City Council of the City or Palo Alto,
Ca.11forn1a, at a regular meet1ne thereof' held on the 10th day
of June, 1946, by the follov1ng vote of the members thereof:

Blois, Bolander, Bowden, Cashel, Cornish, Freedman,
