'Whenever any public way 1a hereill referred to as running between two public ways, or from or to any public vay, the 1ntersec·tions of the public ways referred to are included to the extent that work shall be shown on the plans to be done thereon. 3. Said streets, avenues, roads~ courts and rights of way are more particularly shown in the records of the office or the County Recorder of Santa Clara County, California, and are s!'lown upon the plans herein referred to and filed with the City Clerk of said City. 4. All or aaid work and improvements are to be con- structed at the pl.aces and 1n the particular locations, of the fems, sizes ana d1menrs1ons and materials, and to the lines aoo grades~ anc.'! at the elevations, as shown and delineated upon the plans, profiles and specifications made therefor and pre- lird.narily approved by the City Council of said City of Pa.lo Alto st a regular meeting thereof duly held on the 10th day of June, 1946, and on file in the off1ce of the Clerk of said C1:.y> reference to which is h~reby made ror a full and deta1lea description of said proposed work a!ld for further pa.rt1culs.rs. 5. All of said work and improvements shall be done under the supervision or the C1ty Engineer of the City of Palo Alto, and a1l said work and materials ah.all be done and furn1sbeci to his satisfaction. 8. Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Section 2 of Article V of Ordinance No. 8-4 of said City commonly designated •Palo Alto Improvement Procedure Code', adopted January 13, 1941, the City Engineer or ea1d City,haa tiled vith the City Cler.le of es.id City, accompanying the plans aoo apec1f1ca- t1one above referred to, a statement of the total and item.1zed estimated cost of said improvements, inclusive of incidental costs and expenses of this proceedings, etat1ng therein separately the estilllated cost or each claes of construction proposed, arul the incidental expenses such as engineering and inspection, and cost of preparing proceedings, the total estimated cont of which 1e stated as $189,219.21, which is open to public inspec-tion. 9. Said contemplated vork and improvements, in the opinion of th1a Council, is of more than local an£! ordinary public benefit, and the cost aru.1 expense of doing said work and the expenses incidental thereto, shall be made chargeable upon the district benefited thereby, wh1ch district ahall consist of the consolidated an<.l composite areas of e.11 of the parcels of property fronttng on said work, together with all properties fronting on any street w1th1n one-halt block of an intersection which 1e being improved hereunder, and the exterior boundaries of said district are hereby declared to be the coterminous bourLC3- e.r1es o!' sa1~ oornpoa1te and consolidated area. The properties so benefited, &rothe bounda~1es thereof, are more particularly shown on the map oi' ea1d assessment <l1str1ct on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, to which reference ls hereby made :tor a more detailed description thereof. 10. Peers Park and the Ms.yf1eld Fire Station ru.ld other city-owned property fronting on eaid improvements shall be assessed for 1ta share of the cost of said benefits and the amount thereof paid 1n cash by the City. All public streets, alleys and ways in use 1n the performance or the public runction shall be omitted from the assessment hereinafter to be made to cover the cost of said improvement.
