PROJECT 46-2 ---MELVILLE AVENUE, ET .AL
RESOLVED, by the C1t7 Council or the City ot Palo Alto,
California, that
WHEREAS, the City Council is about to undertake a special
aasecsment a.nd bond public improvement proceedings 1n order to
finance the cost of conatructing grading, crusher ~Wl base pave-
ment and asphalt concrete vear11'g surface, Portland cement
concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks and dr1veva7 aprons, generally
located in but not limited to the area or said Cit7 in Melville
Avenue between Channing Avenue and the end or the pavement south
of Fulton 3treet; Harriett Street between Channing Avenue and
Parkin&on Avenue; Y1lson Street between Harker Avenue and Bopld.ne
Avenue; Hutchinson Avenue between Channing Avenue and Harker
Avenue; Pine Street between Harker Avenue and Hopkins Avenue;
Hopkins Avenue between Harriett Street and Newell Road; Fife
Avenue between Boyce Avenue and Lincoln Avenue; Bo,.,e Avenue be-
tween Forest A~ue and Channing Avenue; Santa Rita Avenue be-
tween Cowper Street and Middlefield Road; Byron Street between
Santa Rita ~venue and California Avenue; Middlefield Road be-
tween California Avenue and Oregon Avenue; and the southerly
one-half or Middlefield Road betve&n Seale Avenue and California
Avenue; and Palo Alto Avenue between the eoutnerly end and norta-
e~ly end or Poe Street, includi.ng 1ntereection1; that the public
interest end welfare v1ll be served by employing attorneys to
assist in the conduct or said proceedings;
NOW, THERRFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that Meaara. Kirkbride &
Wilson, bond attorneys, 307 B Street, San Mateo, California,
be and they are hereby appointed and employed for the purpose
of rende~1ng the services necessary for conducting and complet-·
1ng said special assessment ancl bond public improvement pro-
ceedings:!. ancl that their dut1ea and compenaa1t1on therefor be
t1xed, a 1 as more particularly eet forth 1n the letter and
agreement or said attorneys dated April 25, 1946, on file in
the office or the City Clerk of said City.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City
of Palo Alto at a regular meeting thereof held on the 13th day
of May, 1946, by the following vote.
