That Cowper Street,. 'Waverley Street, Emerson St:reet and the north one-half of Alma Street between Oregon Avenu~9 and the Mataetero Canal; Kipling Street a.oo South Court betweei:i Colorado Avenue s.nCI the Matadero Canel; Brya.nt Street and Ramona Street between the ex1et1ng pavement west or Colorado Street and the Matadero Canal; High Street between Washington Avenue and California Avenue; ~aebington Avenue between Alma Street and Emerson Street; Nevada .Avenue between High St1•eet e.nd Ramona Street; Marion Avenue between Waverley Street and Cowper Street; Colorado Avenue and El Dorado Avenue between .Alma Street and Cov~er Street, including 1ntersectiot.J be improved by con- structing therein grading, crusher-rtili,,avement and asphalt concrete wearing surface, Portland cement concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks and dr1vevay aprons, electrol1ers with Wldergro\md cable complete, vitrified clay pipe sanitary sever house lat- erals, copper pipe domestic water house laterals and wrapped seamless steel pipe gae house laterals, and work incidental thereto; 2. All of said work and improvements are to be constructed at the places and in the particular locations, or the forms, sizes dimensions and materials, and to the lines grades, and elevations as ehown an.Cl delineated upon the pians, profiles, and spec1f1cat1ons prepared therefor, and on file 1n the office of the City Engineer 1n the City Hall of said City, reference to vh1ch is hereby made for fUll anti detailed description or said proposed vork and for ru.rther particulars; 3. There 1s hereby excepted from the above work that which is already done to line and grade,. a~ marked •excepted" or shown nnot to be done" on the plane, profiles anCI specifications. 4. The City Council does hereby adopt and establish as the official grades for said work the grades an(I elevations sho~"ll upon said plans, profiles and specifications. All such grades and elevations a~e in feet and de~imals thereof in reference to the official base and datum of said city. 5. The properties uo benefited, and the boundar1ea thereof, are more parti.cula.1•ly shown on the map of .said asseument district on file in the office of 'the City Engineer of said City, to which reference is hereby made tor a more detailed description thereof. 7. That all city-ovned property fronting on said improve- ments shall be assessed for its share of the cost or se1d benefits and the amount thereof paid in cash by the City. All public streets, alleye and ways in use 1n the performance of the public function shall be omitted rrom the assessment hereinafter to be made to cover the cost of said improvement. 8. Notice is hereby given that serial bo~s to represent the unpaid asaeesmente and bear interest at the rate of not to e~coed four per cent (4%) per annum, will be issue~ pur- suant to Part 4, Bond Plan C or Article IV of the Palo Alto Improvement Procedure Code, the last installment of which shall mature nine (9) years from the second day of July ne~t succeeding ten months from their date. 9.
